A natural artist since she was knee-high to a grasshopper, Jane studied art and photography in high school and in college.

Her work as a graphic designer, illustrator, typesetter, photo stylist, calligrapher, art teacher, doll maker and barista has spanned a period of time from the 1970s to the present.

Although some might say that a jack of all trades can be master of none, Jane prefers to believe that there's absolutely nothing wrong with being a Renaissance woman.

Camp Cactus, Jane's studio in Portland, Oregon, is a magical place where just about any kind of creative miracle can occur. She shares it with her husband, two crazy cats, and a matched set of Labrador retrievers affectionately known as the Knuckleheads.
